From what I understand this charge was introduced in 2013, with the threshold at £50,000. Today, in 2023, the threshold is still £50,000.
How on earth do the Tories get away with this nonsense?

What is the logic In two parents who both earn £49,000 not being penalised, but one parent earning £50,000 being penalised?0

The £10 state pension Christmas bonus was brought in in the 1970's...almost 50 years later it is £10.

I find it quite odd that someone earning £13,000 is paying tax and might be entitled to no benefits, and someone earning £50,000 might be getting benefits on which they are just about to be asked to pay tax.0
