I have found perfect holiday accommodation consisting of 2 houses( in UK )for my family of 24 to spend a week together in 18 months time, to celebrate my big birthday. My concern is it’s a lot of money -deposit on booking is aprox £1,600, total cost is aprox £7k, for such a way off- but it is popular and I don’t want to risk losing the booking by delaying! Before I pay the deposit I want to know how I can best secure should something go wrong? Either with the accommodation or a member of my party seriously I’ll ( Gid Forbid) Deposit is only payable by bank transfer or cheque as I was going to pay by credit card ….
I have annual travel insurance for myself and hubby (but not for my children and grandchildren of course )
Any advice before I pay the deposit gratefully received!
thank you!

Either you need to buy a Group Travel policy or each of the travelers need their own policy like yours. The advantage of the Group policy is that everyone will be covered for each others pre-existing conditions, the downside is you are doubling up on insurance for yourself and probably others in your group. The secondary downside is not everyone may be honest to you about their medical conditions and thus invalidate the policy for everyone... not everyone will want to tell their mum that they're on their third case of the clap in 6 months
Once you get past 10 people you are beyond what most websites can deal with so getting prices will be on the phone1 -
Food for thought there!! Thank you!0
