How can I be estimated to be paying less for Gas after the EBSS ends, makes no sense to me, surely EBSS ending means I would be paying more?

Received the below from EON via email.

Estimated annual costs until 31 March 2023:

Electricity: £815.48
Gas: £1,398.79

Estimated annual costs from 1 April 2023:

Electricity: £824.01
Gas: £1,394.30

Price difference

Electricity: £8.53 increase

Gas: £4.49 decrease

The EBSS £66/67/400 does end, but that does not impact the cost of the energy you use which is billed according to usage.

Because thats just EPG discounted unit rate based costs.

The EBSS - depending on how you paid - didn't impact your costs - only the credit againt them.

In the DD case for me - be reducing the DD for 6 months by £67 - to still credit the pre EBSS DD amount to my account.

So for say £200 before Oct - they offset the DD by £67 for EBSS - took £133 from bank account - added the £66/67 in bills - so effectively still credited the £199/£200.
And said it will be put back to £200 in April.

Other firms and payment methods - and even other MSEr's - were treated differently.
