NatWest product transfer rate - can I get better?

Hi, I’ve signed up to a 2 year fixed product transfer with my existing mortgage provider at 4.89%. This starts in July. Not sure if this is possible but would it be worth contacting them a bit nearer the time to see if I can get a cheaper %? I don’t know if this is an option or not.

As long as you don't sign to commit to it you should be able to check if the rate reduces and then switch to it.
