provisional driving licence - marriage / Brexit / stolen
I am planning to finally do my driving license. But I have a problem and I don't want to make a mistake.
I came to the UK in 2012, I never had a driving license before, but I have applied for a provisional here to use it as my ID instead of my passport. Back in 2018 or 2019, someone stole my bag with the provisional driving license inside. I never applied for new as I didn't want to spend the money.
I got married in 2022 and changed my surname, I have a new passport now. Also, Brexit happened, and I do have a settlement status - so I guess I am covered there.
So, my question is should I try to apply for a lost/stolen card or make a completely new application?

Do you remember your original driving licence number?
If in doubt speak to the DVLA (might not be easy).
