Third Part Debt - bank details

I am in dispute with a furniture store and have raised a County Court Money claim. The court have found in my favour and issued a CCJ ordering the store to pay me. However the store has ignored the order and I am looking at the various options available to recover my money. I have raised a Warrant of Control to send the CC bailiffs in but I'm not confident they will have any success. Another alternative is a Third Party Debt order which will instruct the court to take the money from the stores bank account. However to do this I need to know the name of the bank which the store uses and I can't see any way of finding out which bank they use. As I paid with my banks debit card I contacted my bank and asked if they could to check which bank the payment was made to, but they can't or won't give me this information.

So I'm stuck with this now as I cant see any way of finding out which bank they use. Is there any way of finding this?

No way of finding unless you happen to know from your previous dealings e.g. you had sent funds to their account, or you had received a cheque from them (which is why if you do get a payment to account from a debtor by cheque, it's a good idea to keep a copy!).

Have you just tried phoning them saying you need to make a payment to them and you cannot make out their sort code? If they give it you then you can convert that to a bank (and branch)

Why do you think that the bailiffs won't be successful?

A furniture shop must surely have plenty of stock worth seizing.

They may well just be hoping you will give up and the arrival of bailiffs should prompt them to pay up.

    Good luck.
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".

Have you advised the store that you intend to use bailiffs and their financial liability will increase?  If they don't pay then send the bailiffs in, as others have said they will have goods to seize

Not if all the stock belongs to their cousin / brother / a different company etc
But after watching the TV programmes starting to load it all into the van usually works.

Indeed, lots of retail stock is subject to retention of title clauses so may still be owned by the suppliers.
