its components [including glass, stem, crown], bracelet and its

workmanship and to meet the timekeeping accuracy specification in the
instructions for a period of five (5) years from the date of original
retail purchase in the Territory from an Authorised Retailer. Citizen CZ
Smartwatches are covered by a two (2) year guarantee.
The guarantee covers the strap to be free from defects, if they deem that the strap was broken by damage that means it would not be covered by the guarantee.
No, lets remove the extra bits that make it messy:
Citizen Guarantees this watch (except the strap and its components) to be free of defects in material and workmanship
They explicitly exclude the strap from the guarantee
Added to that you have the opening statement:
Only valid for purchases made in the United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Canada, Caribbean, and Mexico
The OP states it was bought mid air on a flight between Germany and the UK and therefore potentially is also excluded on the grounds of the location of the purchase.

It does state that duty free retailers are included, so I expect EasyJet to be classed as a UK based duty free shop.
but as the strap is not covered by the guarantee that doesn’t matter anyway.

The strap is included in the brackets that lkist the exclusions.

This is one of these issues where is it worth the hassle on a 3 year old watch & the strap problem.
Be cheaper & quicker to simply go to a local jeweller or market stall & buy a replacement.
One of the pick you battle situations.
To be honest i like the watch and its very expensive, plus the fact that i dont like that im being ignored. I very rarely buy watches of this value and i expected a but better service
There is nothing wrong with the watch or the strap. The strap has come away from the watch therefore i wanted them to reattach it. I did email them to tell them i was going to send it in and they didnt say that i shouldnt do this. they just gave me the address All i did with the watch is put it on my wrist i haven't been chewing the strap or anything like that which would destroy the watch and i expected a watch that costs over £100 to have lasted longer especially as they gave a 5 year guarantee. This is the most expensive watch i have ever bought
Im still confused about the replies, is the suggestion that i take them to court or not ?? Its annoying that they ignored my email and letter about this issue .

The consensus is that the strap is not covered, so nothing to take to small claims. Concentrate on getting your watch back
