Heads up, compers! In order to investigate a technical issue, we've had to move some of the older threads from Game Over into a new category called 'Game Over Archives'. It'll be comps from before 2017, so shouldn't have too much impact on your day-to-day Forum experience. Thanks for your patience!

Welcome to our new game, WORDS!
Every day there is a new 5 letter word to guess within 6 attempts. Start
each day by sending a 5 letter word to 88588.
To play, just text a 5 letter word to 88588. Example: You could text
“WORDS” to 88588.
We will confirm by a text message that the game has started and then
send you the corresponding coloured emojis, showing which letters are
correct.
🟩 = Correct letter and position
🟨 = Correct letter, wrong position
⬜ = Incorrect letter
If you guess the correct answer within 6 attempts, you will be entered
into the monthly prize draw of £250. Every correct answer is an
additional entry into the competition and a better chance to win.
Daily gameplay costs £2 + your standard network charge for each SMS
sent.

After your first attempt, you will be billed £2 plus your network rate and you will receive the [5] coloured squares with a green square for every correct letter placement, an orange square for every correct letter in the incorrect placement and a grey square for every missing letter.
Each attempt after your first guess shall be charged at your standard network rate for each guess sent via text.
If you are successful with any of your six attempts to guess the correct answer, you will receive a free success text message and an automatic single entry into the associated competition for that day.
If you are unsuccessful with your six (6) attempts to guess the correct answer, you will receive a free unsuccessful text message and will not be entered into the associated competition.
