Getting a default removed

Hi all!! I see in this weeks newsletter a link about getting mitigating the damage/getting defaults removed.

it said about negotiating full payment if they remove the default. just wonder if anyone’s had any success in this?

Yes, I've heard of people doing this if they have (1) spare money to throw at it, (2) a small number of defaults and (3) need a clean file urgently for some reason.
