I recently tried, and failed (see seperate post) to move Elec & Gas from Eon to OVO. This failed and i am now trying to sort going back to EON.

The reason i did this was partly due to the rates i saw them both quoting:

For example:
EON Next Flex
Electricity 63.047 per kwh, 48.641 per day

OVO Electricity 32.55 per kwh, 50.4 per day

I thought great ill move to OVO as it seems half the price.

I assume i was being ignorant and the OVO was being quoted after a garauntee/price cap and Eon before this was applied?

Now im likely ending back with Eon i am worried so just checking!

Also EON price seems to have now gone up to 66.2 per kwh and 51.07 per day compared with a few days ago - does it vary this frequently?

Yes - on a standard variable tariff like Next Flex the most you will pay are the EPG rates for single rate electricity, and for gas.

Not sure why the Eon price would have varied by a few pence over a few days - are you sure you're checking the correct region?

Sorry when you are saying yes is that about - "I assume i was being ignorant and the OVO was being quoted after a garauntee/price cap and Eon before this was applied?"

So the 2 should have fairly similar prices?

Yes - barring the odd point-xx of a penny, the rates should be pretty much identical from any supplier.

(Also - don't think of it as being ignorant - you can't possibly know the things nobody tells you!)
