Pension shortfall

Hi I have 48 years paid in full ni but 2015-16 days year not full
i don’t get the full state of soon because of this - is this right has anyone else had this problem

    That will not be the whole reason, in fact unlikely the reason at all.  When did you reach state retirement ? How much do you get ?  Any other years not full ?  Were you in a contracted out - likely final salary - pension ?

    Or did you take out some sort of personal pension arrangement at any time from 1988, which might have been used to 'contract out' of the State Additional Pension? You wouldn't necessarily have had to contribute - this type of pension was frequently funded purely by people who paid full NI having part of this 'rebated' directly to the pension provider.
    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
