UK Travel Insurance bad weather

I am going on holiday in just under 2 week. I have noticed the new Beast from the East may be hitting the UK hard at exactly that time. In fact where I am staying in Wales is supposed to be one of the worse areas in the country of it does happen.

Will I lose all the money I have paid if I am unable to travel there? Does UK travel insurance cover it or is it too late now?

The "beast" has been coming for several weeks if you believe the tabloids. Existing travel insurance should cover you, which of course you should have put in place as soon as you booked.

What's the source of your information?

In any event, it's incredibly unlikely that it would force you to cancel your holiday. I managed to travel from Scotland to Wales during the previous "beast from the east" - it was just...slower.

The Met Office long range forecast for March doesn't suggest any such event, a tad colder for the first half of March but then average temps beyond.

Remember that it would need to make it not possible to travel rather than just unpleasant to

Agreed with the above, there would need to be an official "don't travel unless necessary" advisory in effect.
