Caption Competition T&Cs

1. The JEP and Kartoon Faktory Caption Competition is open to all Channel Island, UK and Isle of Man residents excluding JEP and Kartoon Faktory employees, contractors or their direct family members. Entrants must be 12 years of age or older and entrants under the age of 16 must obtain permission from a parent/guardian before entering.
2. To enter the caption competition, you must submit your suggested caption along with your name and an email address online at our website www.kartoonfaktory.com/caption-competition. Alternatively, you may submit your suggested caption by post, along with your name and email address or telephone number to Kartoon Faktory, Grouville, Jersey, JE1 1TD.
   
3. Up to five entries per person will be accepted.
4. Entries will be accepted until 11.59pm eight days after publication in the JEP and on the Kartoon Faktory Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media sites.
5. There will be one winner per caption competition.
6. The winner will be chosen by Kartoon Faktory and approved by the JEP from all the valid entries received. The winner will be contacted and notified via the details provided during entry, either by email or telephone. The decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Kartoon Faktory will make three attempts to inform the winner as soon after the closing date as possible.
8. Kartoon Faktory will arrange delivery by post or collection of the prize as soon as possible after publication of the winning entry in the JEP and on social media. Collection will be from the Kartoon Faktory HQ in Grouville, Jersey.
9. No purchase is necessary.
10. The prize will be an A4 giclee print of the competition cartoon featuring the winning caption.
11. The prize is as stated, is not transferable, cannot be changed or substituted for a cash prize.
12. Kartoon Faktory may request that the winner take part in publicity and Kartoon Faktory reserves the right to publish the winner’s name and winning caption on the Kartoon Faktory website and social media profiles i.e. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
13. Kartoon Faktory reserves the right to make the winning design available for sale.
    
14. By opting into communications with Kartoon Faktory you agree to receive marketing emails.
15. All participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions when entering this competition.
16. Kartoon Faktory reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control. It also reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, without notice. Any changes will be posted on www.kartoonfaktory.com/caption-competition and such posting shall be adequate notice to all participants.
17. No responsibility is accepted for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently and Kartoon Faktory does not accept any responsibility for late or lost entries. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt.
18. These rules are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.
