What does this mean for me?

Note: I do have an empty Tesco savings account I'd forgotten about. Time to plough in?

Their accounts have a small variable amount and a larger fixed bonus element. An older account may not be worth putting more in as they dont update the bonus element but it's quick to open the latest which is 2.2% + 0.7%. This might be useful if rates ever drop quickly as the bonus acts as a floor so it might be worth having one or the Post Office equivalent even if with not much in it.
