Virgin 4.25% ISA and current account

Evening,
Hoping someone knows the answer to this. I am hoping to open an Isa for me and also for my wife. The best rate seems to be the virgin one assuming you have a current account with them.
I am hoping that if I open a joint account for me and my wife, that this will then allow each of us to apply for the ISA. Would that work does anyone know or would we have to open individual current accounts?
Thanks

I think it would be OK. My current account is a joint account with my wife, and I have the 4.25% ISA in just my name. Not sure if wife has an ISA too but I expect she'd be OK to open one0

You don't have to use the current accounts at all, so if in doubt why not just open one each rather than a single joint current account.

Thanks for the replies, I gave it a go and it was fine. Did a joint current account and then was able to setup separate logins for me and my wife and then setup an Isa in each.
Now to forget about it for a year.
Thanks1
