Hi
Does anyone know if there is a fund, or better still an ETF, that deals exclusively in bonds issued by UK utility companies?
I've not found anything remotely similar through googling.
Thanks
V

Don't know if there is as that is the sort of investing I would avoid.
Also, it would be a very high-risk investment. Over 50 utility companies have failed between 2015 and early 2022.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.2 -

Well the big six utility companies cannot be invested in directly as they are all owned by someone else.
I suppose you could grab the bonds directly if they can be found0 -

EDF Energy, National Grid and Anglian Water bonds are listed on the HL website. Even if the issuer no longer exists as an independent company its bonds can live on to maturity.
However I dont think you will find a corporate bond fund purely investing in utilities.1 -
