Reasonable priced dog/pet vacumn? Also problems with chest of drawers.

I have a Vax pet vacumn the type that has a long hose attached and its ok at best for my floors, got it from a car boot sale for a fiver so can't expect much the one before was another Vax that worked better but cable broke and was the regular cylinder version.
Whilst I say its for pets, my dog doesn't shed much fur most of the dirt is just things like pieces of grass from walking outside, the carpet is thin and directly on top of floorboards.
For the chest of drawers they are old, got them at a charity shop probably 8 or 9 years ago, the trays keep sliding off the track and I doubt its the wrong drawers as they are different heights for each row so only go in wrong way.
What comes to mind is there is warping on the wood but at all angles I can't see any nor any bulging but a wooden bar in the middle doesn't fit anymore as theres a gap of 1 or 2 cm which again makes me think somehow its become warped so falling down, its not all rows just 1 or 2 it just makes no sense.
I tried putting screws in the holes of the tracks as they were wobbly and at best they help stop them coming off if the drawers are already on and not loose but not getting them on.

As @Alderbank said with the drawers, a picture might help someone suggest something.
