18" x 12" x 12" would appear to be the standard size for these F&E tanks. In which case the replacement lid should be a proper fit, and insulation jackets plentiful. The lids themselves don't appear to be insulated - the jacket should have a panel that flops over the top once the lid is secured.
It would probably make sense to check the existing tank for a maker's name, just in case there are small discrepancies between makes (which you can bet there will be...).

That was the problem - a Heath Robinson cover that collapsed and pressed down on the ballcock causing constant inflow and overflow....
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
most probably need a lid for a 30/40 gall tank depending on the correct size of tank
