Charged twice for daily standing charge

So I've just moved to an apartment with biomass for heating and separate electricity.
The two are on separate meters, so I top up, online to a company called Switch for my heating, then top up my prepayment meter to Octopus.
No idea why there's two separate but everyone in the block is the same.
Because of this, I pay two lots of daily charge, meaning almost a pound a days gone before I do anything.
Is this normal for this situation ?

I've spent years on just electric heating and forgotten the rules - doh!
