Trust Fund for elderly mentally handicapped brother?

Our brother, named as a beneficiary in our late mothers will, that states a small amount of money is to be established as a trust fund. But … No company seems to offer anything other than a trust fund for a child. Various building societies and banks seem to have withdrawn from offering such arrangements recently. We tried going through Mencap, the charity, to find out if they had any recommendations. Tried the lawyers who are dealing with the estate and will. Nothing. Does anyone have any experience or recommended companies that offer a Trust fund for an amount in the region £10k for a mentally handicapped person over 50 years old?

Trusts for relatively small amounts can be tricky, might be worth speaking to Mencap.0

Thanks. We tried Mencap, unfortunately they just pointed us at their website and had no useful advice. Maybe we were unlucky and will try another person on their help desk.0

Skipton BS might help as might NS&I.0

Here’s the details on NS&I - I was looking at accounts today in the light of their new releases, some of which can be opened in trust:
