Grant of Probate delays?

The friend I have been helping has now received an email saying probate is approved. It went 27Jan and was tracked as received 30th. That was a simple estate in that there were 2 children both executors also beneficiaries 50/50, online application, and notification that HMRC had processed the IHC421 (no tax due) was received before the will was sent. 
I hope yours is sorted out quickly now, seems odd that the solicitors have not said anything about the length of time it has taken

I'm so jealous. I genuinely don't understand why it's taking so long. Sigh

Presumably the solicitors submitted by post for a reason, although it is slower, and it’s then been stopped.  Which I assume means that something is being checked.  You can see the performance statistics for each route on the HMCTS website.  Ours took exactly a month from the day we posted off the Will, although we’d completed the online application a couple of days earlier.

Just wondering if you finally received probate?? We are stuck in a chain with a probate property holding it up and we are now around 18/19 weeks in since the application was sent.
