PCN

I am a community nurse who uses a car for work. My employers a NHS Trust use a parking firm to control/monitor the staff car park. Community staff notify the NHS Trust of their car registration and this entitles staff to park in the staff car park. My car is registered with the car park company but was off the road being repaired, I need a car to work and used a family members car for a few days until my car had been repaired . I notified my manager of a temporary change of car and new registration. I received a PCN which I appealed with the company - unsuccessfully despite providing evidence of employment and my car registration. I then appealed to the Independent Appeals Service (IAS) which again was unsuccessful. The parking company told me I was a member of public and not entitled to park in the staff car park. The IAS upheld the decision and did not consider any mitigating circumstances. I am finding this whole situation stressful, as a community nurse I should not have to pay a fine for trying to do my work. The parking company would not appear to have any flexibility around staff registering another car on a temporary basis. I would welcome any comments or advice.

I have asked for this thread to be moved over to that board but in the meantime they do ask that all newbies start by reading the thread here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822/newbies-private-parking-ticket-old-or-new-read-these-faqs-first-thankyou#latest
When you appealed did you do it in your name as driver? Oh dear. The registered keeper was best placed to deal with it, not saying who was driving.
The IAS is in our experience, a kangaroo court and we wish you'd come to this parking forum first. What happened when you complained to your Facilities Manager to cancel the charge?
They can and do. It's not a fine.
