About a month or so ago, I got an email that went to my spam folder from a company called Oppos asking me to contact them about an urgent matter.  They may well debt collectors in Scotland.
Since then, I've had a couple of texts and another email.  Today my mobile rang.
Nothing in the post as of yet.

Not sure where they got my email and phone number from as I've never used either when paying bills and one or two past debts.  Always use a secondary gmail address and landline phone number that has been gone for years.

Are they legitimate, and if so, are there any particular things / companies they deal with?

Presently paying off my defaulted Vanquis card directly to Lowell, and that and my car payment come out without fail each month.
Nothing else outstanding at present.
Phone is with EE and is PAYG.

Had no credit cards, loans, contracts etc. for years now bar one for a credit card that I took out about a week or two ago.

When they write to you, send them a prove-it if you don't recognise what it is.

Until then, it's safe to ignore them.
