Tado data shows 4 in 5 users have reduced their thermostat temperatures

Tado (the smart thermostat people) has tweeted this graphic which shows that nearly 80% of its UK users reduced their thermostat set point in Nov/Dec 2022 compared with the same period in 2021.

I don't find this terribly surprising, given the typical energy needs of our homes and our high costs.

I wonder what else their data from 340,000 homes could tell us.

Any other thoughts?

3 bed det. built 2021. 2 occupants at home all day. Worcester Bosch Greenstar 30i combi boiler heating to 19-20C from 6am to midnight, setback to 17.5C overnight, connected in EMS mode to Tado smart modulating thermostat. Annual gas usage 6000kWh; electricity 2000kWh.

What they’d lowered their thermostat from and to would be helpful.

I did a poll some time back most were lowering their temperature so no surprises really especially with all the news coverage of high prices and turn down 1 degree.

And this is a surprise to some who want more info in our present climate of massive heating costs, incredible. Talk about stating the obvious.
