Is anyone really getting EDF E7 PAYG at 0.94p/kWh?

We had some conversation about that when the rates were first published - feeling was that it had to be a typo, but it doesn’t appear that they have changed it, and the day rate IIRC tallies up?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Probably a spreadsheet and someone hasn't set the box to pence and left it at pounds. <<<<< Something I did recently

It's a common pattern across EDF's rate table. Smart PAYG has the cheapest off peak rate, but complementary higher peak rate in several regions.
If you compare their 'price cap (before EPG discount)' rate card with their 'EPG discounted' rate card it appears they have applied a fixed PpU discount to every rate, which results in some of these seemingly anomalous Smart PAYG offpeak rates such as 0.94p eastern and I think I saw 3p in another region , which I believe from logical deduction are correct and and they will therefore honour.
These customers will form a very small proportion of their customer base and so present little impact on company profits. The vast majority of customers are on either DD, pay on receipt of bill, or legacy (key) prepayment meters which all have more realistic off-peak unit prices. I have a few acquaintances who are on legacy prepayment or smart PAYG meters and my experience is they are less aware of their unit rates and consumption at each rate than DD users, but paradoxically complain the most about their electricity bills which could very easily reduce significantly if they took the time to read and understand their bill and supplier/tariff option. Ironically these fiends/acquaintances work less hours and have much more state support than us despite having similar or less parental responsibilities.1
