Eon Next: Gov. energy discount not being applied to bill

My Eon Next supplier has failed to add the Gov discount to my bill this month and took the whole amount leaving me very short in the bank account. I've emailed them last Friday to unhappy@eonnext and hi@eonnext.com but have not had a response at all from them. Anyone else had this issue with their supplier?

Are you a pay on receipt of bill customer? If so, is it possible that due to the extended bank holidays that has caused delays in payments being made this month might have caused an issue, depending on your billing date?0

Hi, sorry I'm not sure what you mean 'pay on receipt'. Though it sounds like how I pay. I'm monthly variable direct debit. I pay every month for what I've used.0

Though the Gov discount is there on the bill. They just haven't taken it off the bill this month0

ok, I understand, but they've given me the discount for the last 3 or 4 months straight now- for each monthly bill. This December though, the discount is stated on the December bill but the whole amount has come out of my bank account. If they're moving the goalposts by crediting next month, it would be nice they explained what they were doing. Especially December being the most difficult month because of the weather early on. I'm angry too they haven't responded to me, a week tomorrow.0

Eon has finally gotten back to me. A complaint has been raised.
They say they credited the December discount to my Eon account (carrying over to January), though they do not say it was a mistake. I have asked for the payment to be put back in my bank account. I really hope they are not planning to do this again.0
