hello, my COT3 has the wording of:   The claimant confirms that 'they' has not and will not commence any such claims against the Respondent. This Agreement shall not apply to any claims the Claimant may have for accrued pension rights.
What does the accrued pension rights wording mean please?
thank you

What does Accrued rights mean? The benefits to which a member is entitled, as of right, under an occupational pension scheme. Such rights include pension awards already received and pensionable service built up so far based on a particular pension age.

copied and pasted from the first entry on a google search for accrued pension rights.  You may thank me for doing your google search for you.

It means that if you were in a company pension scheme, you are still entitled to any benefits due to you from that scheme, even if your settlement agreement is (otherwise) on a 'clean break/no further claims against your [former] employer' basis. It's what you'd expect to see where you had membership of an occupational, rather than a personal, pension arrangement.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
