I received yet another piece of spam email, nothing unusual. However, it's not coming up with sender's email address so I can't add it to my 'blocked' list.

Is there a way to block this idiot please?

There isn't really any point adding the email address itself as it'll probably never come again from that address, assuming it was genuine in the first place.
If there's a more generic "mark as spam"  option then just do that instead.

What email client are you using , it likes a Microsoft one to me ? It looks like it is already in your junk list though.

Yes. Outlook - it has gone into my junk folder, I usually mark it as 'block sender' but can't.  I'll just delete it and forget it!

    Thanks for both the replies.

I don't know about with outlook, but I use thunderbird and I can see who it appears from , often  me but i really know it wasn't and can find whose ip it came from. However your ignore and delete works just as well lass.

Someones stupid idea to remove the senders email and use the nickname that anyone can change with no skills.

Luckily with most email clients you can still click that name and see the true senders emails address but its only time
before they start dropping that.  I don't think Apple devices show the email address as standard?

Sender is trivial to forge so no point in relying on it.  It's as trivial as writing a letter and giving your name and address as "R.Sunak, 10 Downing Street" then popping it in an envelope and posting it, because that is exactly how email works.  Only the address on the envelope is important, what's inside can all be forged.
