Saving money on water bill when significant building going on

We're just finishing a major building project on our house where all the concrete, cement and plaster etc has been mixed on site. The footings were very deep and took a lot of concrete.  I read the water meter at the start of the build, and again as we're just about finished. I put the readings into my account with Anglian, which shows there was an 18% increase over our previous usage, which had been on a downward trend for the previous couple of years.  I've just phoned Anglian to ask for a reduction in sewerage charges as we have not been returning the usual 90% they assume.  After hanging on the phone for a while, they've told me they will re-calculate my bill taking into account what I've told them, and will send me a new bill by post.

Refreshingly quick and easy to deal with, any sort of reduction will be welcome.

Just had an email from the very helpful people at Anglian Water, they've cancelled our entire sewerage charges (apart from standing charges obviously) for our entire build time, so that's saved us about £165.
