Prepaid/reloadable credit or debit card

Could someone please provide me some up-to-date info regarding a prepaid credit or debit card for occasional use online
to prevent personal details being stolen and unauthorised purchases being made.  From what I've read they all appear
to require a smartphone or 'App', neither of which I have.

Not sure whether it's possible to stop some debit cards from going into overdraft, but by definition credit cards can be neither prepaid nor reloadable.

Personally, I’d prefer to use a credit card for online purchases as it’s the credit card companies money being spent and in the event of fraud, it becomes very much their problem.

I don't think any bank or credit card provider will be able to 100% guarantee that a fraudulent transaction will be made on your card. As someone said, best option is to get a credit card. I've had fraudulent transactions on my Amex and Barclaycard credit cards and it's been minimal hassle recovering the money.

As above - there is no such thing as a prepaid credit card.
