Underfloor heating / constant hot water
Hi just had glow worm gas underfloor heating installed. Do I have to have constant water heating on whilst using the heating? I don't use much water and feel having it on all the time the heating on is just wasting energy - and money! Ps I don't know how to turn the water timer on/off. Any advice to this confused pensioner grately appreciated.

In general I would have thought not but without having some idea of what you've got in the way of controls(thermostats, programmers etc), boiler type, underfloor heating configuration, whether you've got motorised valves, even some of the wiring etc then its not possible to answer your question as there are many ways it could have been configured.
Likewise there are different types and manufacturers of programmers, timers and thermostats, all of which need more detailed info on how they work and how they've been set up.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
With the u/f heating on, any heat lost from the hot water tank serves to heat the property anyway. So it's not wasted. No free lunch, and no free laptop
