Which benefits can you get if you're too sick to work full-time but well enough to work part-time?

New style ESA is £330 which covers less than 20% of my basic expenses, so this + part-time job won't be sufficient. Can I get anything else on top of it?

Talking about chronic condition here, not a temporary thing)

Universal Credit depending on your finances - excluded if you have capital over £16,000.

If your health condition also limits your ability to carry out various activities you may be eligible for PIP (which is not means tested).
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • ESA also has a limit on earnings and hours.  Work must be under 16 hours a week and earnings under £152 per week.

(Universal Credit does not have any such restrictions.)

Benefit entitlement doesn't take into consideration the bills you have to pay.
