£400 energy bill discount with coin meter

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place.
I understand that I am entitled to the energy bill help but, with a pound coin meter, I have no idea of how to go about doing this. I claim no benefits so I am pretty sure I don't qualify for anything else

Guidance would be most welcome
Thanks

Wow, i haven't heard of coin meters for decades. You should contact your energy supplier and they will be able to help you. As you claim no benefits then you won't be entitled to any other cost of living payments.

I very much doubt this is an energy supplier coin meter - is there actually still such a thing ? -, more likely landlord installed, in which case the £400 does not apply.  There is an ongoing consultation around how to help these cases and there may be some discretionary help from local authorities.

Thank you both. You're absolutely right: it is a meter which is sustained by the landlord (a relevant piece of information I should have included! Doh!). I think he had some issues with people doing a moonlight flit with outstanding electricity bills.
    Much appreciated

Just for clarification, the £400 help with the £66/67 monthly credits is for people who have a domestic electricity account with their supplier.  That's why you don't qualify.

However as mentioned above, there is the intention for alternative help for the people who don't have a domestic account with their supplier, unfortunately we have zero information about that so far.

This thread took me back a number of years as my parents had a coin meter.
Every now and then it would run out (just because they forget to feed it) I use yell out  two-bob gone,  two-bob gone.
