ESA Reassessments

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if reassessments have restarted yet and if anyone due a reassessment recently had theirs or got deferred again?

Currently experiencing the anxious wait, my review date is 2 weeks today but as yet no ESA50 has come through

The review date is only ever a guide. Even if reassessments have started you can expect the review to be later than originally suggested.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

I've sent you a message. It looks like routine reassessments are still on hold at present.
  • Someone in our family is 20 months overdue for a re-assessment!    Probably covid19 delays  etc.
    stinker..
  • I was due reassessment in June... in later call with DWP confirmed next review due in 2 years...so that's what it appears they've extended my (3 year) 'award' for.

I wouldn't say it's been extended. There's no end date to Support Group awards, they are ongoing until a new decision says otherwise.

Yes... hence my inverted commas around the word 'award' (perhaps I should have put them around the entire phase but I had a little emergency preventing my usual editing) the agent on the phone used as like you say they can review at any time and entitlement continues pending any new decisions to the contrary. Ultimately I think we know there's unlikely to be a review before the date set on their system barring any reported changes... not least because, and the reason for my post to highlight, they're struggling to carry out assessments as scheduled.

  • My last reassessment was in November 2019. I haven’t heard anything from them since other than a phone call around 18 months ago checking everything was going OK for me. I am in the WRAG.
