TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “Absolute Radio – David Beckham SOS – November 2022” (the “Competition”). These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition. 

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside ourgeneral competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html(the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.  

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/absolute-radio/     Online entry is free of charge.    Entries are restricted to one entry per person.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	In order to be eligible to win, entrants must go online to absoluteradio.co.uk and tell us the following details:      Full name and contact details   The reasoning behind why a local youth football club they know, work for or are involved in deserves to win     Entries will be judged on how entertaining, compelling, heart-warming and how deserving the entry is. All entries will be judged by the Dave Berry production team, the production manager, and an independent judge.    We will be shortlisting entries from the open of the competition on the 09/11/2022 at 00.01 until the close of the competition online entry period on 16/11/2022 at 09:00.On shortlisting, we will require the nominators to coherently explain their entry and discuss the nomination of the local youth football club they know, work for or are involved in. The entry must be compelling and match the entry that was entered online. The nominators will need to explain in detail the reason why nominated the youth football club to win.      On being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win on being told they are the winner* by the production team on 18/11/2022.  On being bought to air as a finalist** from 14/11/2022- 17/11/2022 does not equate to the finalist being the final winner, there will be one winner that will be selected from the finalists, and this will be awarded on-air on 18/11/2022.     All nominators will be called ahead the competition segment being recorded.  If the chosen finalist is unavailable when we come to call them a competition record date, a backup finalist will be chosen in their place and the original finalist may miss out on winning.    The 1st finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 11/11/2022      The 2nd finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 14/11/2022     The 3rd finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 15/11/2022    The 4th finalist to be picked to record an on-air segment be notified they are selected no later than 12pm on 16/11/202    Each day from Monday 14th November – Thursday 17th November the finalist’s segment will be played as live/ or as live if pre-recorded on-air during the Absolute Radio Breakfast show. The four finalists will be asked to write a ode/ poem in the style of a football chant which will also be played out alongside a description of their entry.    On Friday 8th November a winner will be selected from the 4 finalists and awarded the winner’s prize on-air.     *The winner is the person who is announced as the final winner by the breakfast team on-air on 18/11/2022. This person will be selected from the three finalists who will be bought to-air from 14/11/2022- 17/11/2022.     **The finalists are the persons who are bought to-air from 14/11/2022- 17/11/2022.    Once the prize has been awarded the winner will be expected to spend their prize on the item, they told the Absolute Breakfast team the local youth club needed. The prize will be paid into the bank account of the nominator.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Start Date and End Date. Pre-registration: from 09/11/2022 at 00.01 (Start Date) to 16/11/2022 at 09:00 (End Date).    The on-air portions of this comp will take place each day from 14/11/2022 until 17/11/2022, between 6am and 10am. The finalists will be given information of when the exact timings will be ahead of being brought to air.     The winner of the competition will be announced on-air on 18/11/2022 during the breakfast show.      Entries received before the Start Date or after the End Date will be invalid.     Winner Announcement. The name and the hometown of the winner(s) (s) will be announced on the Dave Berry Breakfast Show 18/11/2022 between 6am and 10am.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.   Both the Nominator and the Nominee must be 18 years or over on the date of entry  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.  We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Specific Terms.  If you or any other person at your household has won a prize valued at £500 or more on any Bauer brand in the past 6 months, you nor they are not eligible to enter or win this competition. THE PRIZE	The following prizes will be awarded during the competition:     Winner prize  The winner of the competition will win the below prize for their nominated football youth team:    Items requested by winner their local football club to the value of £2,750 inc VAT.    Winner can select a maximum of 10 items to be delivered to one address within the United Kingdom only    If there are any costs to the items requested above the prize awarded these must be covered by the finalist. The winner will not be compensated for any additional costs.      Prize Supplier ‘Element’ Additional Terms:   Delivery is available to addresses within the United Kingdom only; Winner must supply a complete list of items to Prize Provider in one transaction, with a maximum value of £2,750 inc VAT; Any funds not used will be forfeited; Winner can select a maximum of 10 items to be delivered to one address within the United Kingdom only; Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable; No cash alternative is available; Due to industry-wide supply chain issues, there may be unforeseen delays to deliveries of physical prizes. We will endeavour to get products delivered to winners as quickly as possible; All prizes are subject to availability; The winner is responsible for ensuring that any delivery note is checked on receipt; The prize excludes anything not expressly listed above; The Prize Provider is Element London Ltd (www.element-london.com).    Finalist Prize   The 4 Finalists who come to air from 14/11/2022- 17/11/2022. will be awarded the below consultation prize for their nominated football youth team:     Items requested by winner their local football club to the value of £400 inc VAT.     Winner can select a maximum of 5 items to be delivered to one address within the United Kingdom only    If there are any costs to the items requested above the prize awarded these must be covered by the finalist. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had. 

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.  

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Specific Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Specific Terms. 

• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.  

• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.  

• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.  

• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.  

• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant. 

• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize. 

 

We may cancel, end or suspend the Competition where we are required to do so in circumstances outside our control. We reserve the right to amend these Specific Terms at any stage during the Competition if such amendment is necessary to facilitate the administration of the Competition.
