WINTER FUEL PAYMENT

HI. My husband received his letter from DWP regarding the WFP. He gets his benefits via a Payment Card. The account the DWP has quoted is not part or all of any of the numbers.on his Payment Card. We don't know what the account number is they've quoted. His WFP is usually paid middle of Nov which is next week. Should we wait until after then to contact them.  I've read that they made a mistake with some a few years back with account numbers.

All i said was "duplicate thread." I have no idea if new members are able to edit their comments but if you can there should be a "cog" on the right top side of the comment box, click it to edit your comment.

Yes but it just gets too confusing when asking the same questions over various threads. I'm not the only person to point this out to members when they do it!

Thanks but I've sorted it now.
The DWP get account details for the Payment Card that are only visible to the DWP. Not even the Customer Service person at the Card Issuer Company can see the account number or sort code they only see the card number.. I phoned them too as advised by DWP.  They said that if he's had benefits paid in ok since card was issued then there will be no issue.
