I've got a form for a benefit review asking for last 2 months bank statements. Can I blank all the outgoings ie shopping etc and just leave the incoming as surely its just that that they need to see.

If you blank anything out they will simply ask for statements in full.  Just send it unadulterated.  Outgoings do matter, particularly if there are very high outgoings which could be seen as ways of either obtaining benefits or staying on them.
