It's claimed I have an overpayment from 07-08, which I have always disputed, as I was given the wrong information over the phone.
Now I've been moved to UC they want to claim it back.
Is there anything I can do to stop this?

No - If you disputed it back on 08-09 then you will have an outcome and escalation policy.

You are now out of time to dispute it.  As its UC there is no status bared limitations.  As you have a UC claim they will automatically take it from that, what you could do is discuss reducing the payment.

We moved over 100 miles and they froze our child care, and when we gave them our new child care provider they unfroze the original, so in theory had us doing 400 miles a day to drop our children at a child minder, even though they knew they were else where.  This was back in 2009 and even though we disputed it, they said we should have read the info sent.
