Honda Civic 1.8 Low pressure Light
Can anyone give me some advice on a low level warning light on a 2010 Honda 1.8 Civic.
The light came on around a week ago while I was driving so I pulled over checked the oil level ( which seemed fine) and turned on the engine and it disappeared , it came on again today while driving and the same thing by turning the engine off and waiting it went out again.
I originally thought the light was a low oil lever warning but reading the manual it says it is actually Low Oil Pressure which is more serious.
I was advised that i should not be driving it as it can cause major damage to the engine , I am looking to book it in to a garage next thursday but have to do a 100 mile run on Monday but not too sure if that's sensible.

You could have an oil pump failing that means oil isnt lubricating parts of your engine.
So yes, you've correctly been advised not to drive it as you will risk major engine damage.
I would not be driving it at all between now and when its due to be looked at.
Will phone on monday and book it in
