I see this as a weak case but you have no choice at this stage but to defend.

I cannot condone parking like that.

Wow! Over twenty months since filing a Defence to getting a trial date.
Has nothing else happened in that time? You certainly have reported nothing.
Is this 10th August hearing at your local court?

Yea its crazy! The last thing i did was submit a defence and I received a letter explaining i have a court date, and i have to pay £27 - to be honest the letter is poor there should have been extra information to provide the witness statements etc I feel i may have done a N180 but not the rest

    There will be:
    (a) Directions Questionnaire (N180) stage - an easy form.
    (b) Witness Statement & evidence and costs assessment stage.
    (c) A hearing at your local court (or in 2020, a Telephone Hearing if your local Court Judge is working from home).

You don't have to pay £27 surely?  What does the letter say?  When did you receive it?  Have you not already given the court a list of dates when you are not available, via your Directions Questionnaire response?  When did you send that?

A number of questions there. Please read them carefully and answer each one.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Tell us more about 'this letter' suggesting you have to pay £27.
    Who sent it?
    Where from?
Why do you think you need to pay that money?

You 'may have done a N180'?
    That's a bit different from what you said earlier - "I haven't received a N180 form", isn't it?

I must say that your description of what has happened and what is happening now is somewhat lacking.

How is your Witness Statement and evidence gathering progressing?

You did the N180 ages ago. It was the form asking which local court you wanted.

You are not planning on paying the Claimant's fee for them...please don't.

    Hi,

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/ee5kcxmrktmpq60/Notice of trial_1.jpg?dl=0

@KeithP @Umkomaas The letter i have received can be found in the link above.

@Coupon-mad is correct i did fill out a N180. This was completed in Feb. The holiday was booked in March.

After this I received the letter shared in the link. Looking at the threads I didn't get the option to:

"5. The case file will then be transferred to your local County Court, and you will eventually receive a Notice of Allocation, giving you a date and time for the hearing. It will also specify a deadline for you to submit a Witness Statement, and any other documents you intend to rely on, usually 14 days before the hearing but sometimes earlier than that. Your Witness Statement can expand upon the points made in your original Defence, and must start with the following "I, Joe Bloggs, of 23 Acacia Avenue, Anytown, AN1 2BC, am the Defendant in this matter, and will say as follows". You should attach to your Witness Statement any evidence to support your assertions, eg photos of signage, etc. Optionally, you may also want to include a Skeleton Argument to flesh out the legal points, or you could include those as part of your Witness Statement."

Like I mentioned I am unsure what to do because i am not in the country and have no details how and where to fill out a witness statement.

It's on the second page of that Hearing Order.
