Urgent - received claim form from country court business center

Hi guys,

I received a fine from Tesco's for parking in a bay that I apparently shouldn't have. This was over 4 years ago. However today I have received a letter from the county court business centre, the solicitors are Gladstone solicitors ltd. They are saying I owed them £310 as the PCN wasn't paid within 28 days of issue.

I'm not sure what to do, any guidance would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is your third thread on this parking board.
It was explained on your other threads what the process is that you should be following.

Is this current Claim related to either of those other two threads?

Did this Claim really com from Tesco?
    Who is the Claimant?
    It is not a fine.

    Hiya,

Apologies I may have asked before and totally forgotten about this claim. From memory I feel I appealed intially which was rejected.(I'm going to have to dig this up)

No the claimant is Private Parking Solutions. The solicitors is Gladstone solicitors.

I am going through the newbies thread. I feel I may have to do a AoS?

    Is that their full title?

    Do you mean SAR?

Hi, I have saved a copy of the letter on this drive. Please let me know your thoughts.

I am going through the newbies thread. As mentioned in the previous thread by Keith, I did post something about this few years ago and general consensus was to ignore it.

I will be writing to the MP/CEO of Tesco's too as a complaint.

Show the letter on Dropbox, I won't access any files that require me to 'sign in'. You still haven't answered my questions, so one last go!

    I hope this works?

I initially appealed against Popla but it was rejected.

Private Parking Solutions (London) ltd is the full title.

Apologies you are correct when you say SAR

That claim form includes the claim number and unique password so anyone could go online and put in a throwaway defence.  It has happened before!

TAKE THE IMAGE LINK DOWN IMMEDIATELY!

However for the regulars' benefit the issue date is 13th October, which will help us give you the defence deadline.

Don't go contacting Gladstones asking for a 30 day hold. You are not at LBC stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Deleted asap. As this is a claim form and not a LBC. Can I still submit a SAR? And email the solicitors? (Apologies I'm on the newbie thread trying to figure out what stage I am at as I haven't received this form previously)

You have left your Claim Number and your MCOL password visible on that image.
Very useful to someone who might want to destroy your chance of successfully defending yourself.

With a Claim Issue Date of 13th October, you have until Tuesday 1st November to file an Acknowledgment of Service but there is nothing to be gained by delaying it.
To file an Acknowledgment of Service, follow the guidance in the Dropbox file linked from the second post in the NEWBIES thread.

Having filed an Acknowledgment of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Tuesday 15th November 2022 to file your Defence.
That's four weeks away. Plenty of time to produce a Defence, but please don't leave it to the last minute.
To create a Defence, and then file a Defence by email, look again at the second post on the NEWBIES thread - immediately following where you found the Acknowledgment of Service guidance.
Don't miss the deadline for filing an Acknowledgment of Service, nor that for filing a Defence.

Do not try and file a Defence via the MoneyClaimOnline website. Once an Acknowledgment of Service has been filed, the MCOL website should be treated as 'read only'.
