Switching with no hard searches

Anyone know which banks don't do a hard search on application?

I've just done nationwide today and pretty sure they didn't do one!

Pretty sure whenever I have opened a new Nationwide account even as an existing customer they have done a hard search.

Monzo, Starling and Chase have not completed hard searches when I have opened accounts with them. Lloyds and Barclays haven’t done hard searches when I have opened additional accounts with them, but have competed hard searches on the first accounts that I opened with them.

I opened a new Nationwide account early September, I have a hard search registered on Experian, but not Equifax or Transunion

They carried out a "soft" search during application before offering an account (or not). However, when actually confirming the application there was a "hard" search notifiction. That message did advise that it will appear in credit files.

Starling never did a hard search on me but this was a few years ago.
