On my FB group page as  Admin, I see a list ie
MEMBERS total 1942
and below another list titled VISITORS total 602

I want to know exactly how many members I have. Many of those in the VISITORS list post, which begs the question, are they members and if so, why are they there and not in the other list.

The following may help, but the difference appears to be members have chosen to See group content in their Feed and other places on Facebook

What's the difference between a member, visitor and participant in the new public groups experience?

Your group is public, non-members can post to it so they are classed as visitors - I think it counts any interaction such as comments, likes and clicks on posts for the visitors.
