I’ve recently passed my driving test in my 40’s any suggestion/advice on the cheapest insurance deals?

Try all of the aggregator sites first then the insurers who don't appear on them (Aviva, Direct Line etc).

Try some different job titles around your role as some can be significantly different in price.
If you have someone experienced you can add as a named driver then also try that as it can reduce the price.
