ski travel insurance

hi, im going to finland from jan to april on an exchange scheme with uni and whilst i am there im planning on going skiing. i have looked at insurance and what i have found is that i have to give exact dates of when i am going to go. however, i dont know, i may wake up one morning and decide to go. surely there is insurance for this but i cant find it. can anybody help?

I think you will find that most standard travel policies, even the annual ones, only cover you for up to 31 days away at a time and say 17 days ski-ing. It's worth contacting the insurance cos direct and posing the question or the uni should have names of specialists that could help.
