Pension credit waiting time

It's 63 days since I applied for pension credit and I haven't heard a dickie bird. All I've had is an acknowledgement of the application. Does anyone on here know what the waiting time is please?

I think they have huge problems at the moment. I have had clients waiting 5/6 months for Pension credit to be awarded. They don't even call people back as promised within the time frame. It seems like everyone is trying to claim due to cost of living worries and they don't have the staff to cope with it.

Earlier in the year claims were taking six months to process. I don't know what current delays are.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • A friend had hers processed within a couple of months but that was earlier this year. I'll just wait for a response. It's hardly surprising they're snowed under.
