Im going to New York this week, and just wondered how my watch/phone would treat the time difference - does it just count as one long day or is it adjusted?  Same for coming back too really

It certainly seemed to count it as one long day (and one short day on your return) or at least it did a couple of years ago based on the number of people complaining and suggesting using airplane mode or turning off automatic adjustment to ensure each one is a fixed 24 hours
