If you follow Real Homes, then you're probably not afraid of a a little DIY!

To show off your skills, whether you're a total novice or a self-taught pro, we want you to let us know what you've been up to in your own home – indoors or out – whether you rent or not.

After all, the best way to upgrade your space without going over budget is to get creative and try your hand at sprucing your surroundings, yourself. 

Whether you've upcycled a thrifted bookcase, painted a garage from top-to-bottom in record time, or found an excellent use for leftover tile, no DIY project(opens in new tab) is too small to celebrate.

What's in it for you? Each winner will win $150 (or the equivalent in GBP), and your full project will be featured on realhomes.com and/or exclusively in Real Homes magazine(opens in new tab)...

HOW TO ENTER THE REAL HOMES' DIY COMPETITION 

Get involved by filling in the form(opens in new tab) to share a snapshot of the project you'd like to contribute and every month we'll pick five lucky winners. The last submissions for this month will be midnight on the 30th of September and we will aim to contact winners by the 7th of October.

Please note that we will need a set of basic step-by-step instructions to accompany your submission should you be chosen! This should be roughly 300 words.
