Photos being stored in Flickr

I've been presented with a question, can you help please.
My daughter has just noticed that PayPal has been taking £60 per year from my daughters account. It turns out its in respect of photo's being stored in Flickr, several thousand of them. She would like to avoid this annual charge. There is an obvious worry that if she holds back payment, Flickr will dispose of the photo's, that said, I've suggested she makes sure any payment is upto date.

Is it likely Flickr would dispose of the photo's?

How can my daughter transfer them back and where should she place them.

Clutching straws, I've suggested she purchases an external hard drive and pulls them back to it. Or, as she is an Amazon Prime member, would that be an option for storage?.

I'd welcome any suggestions please.

If she cancels her subscription, she will probably lose access to her photos. Not sure if Flickr would actually delete them, but she needs to hold a copy of them anyway.
She can get (should have) a local drive to store them on and download them, I believe Flickr lets you download groups of up to 500 photos as one zip file.
It's worth having cloud storage for them of some type. Photographs usually cannot be replaced. She needs to work out how much storage space she needs. For example, Google One (Drive) gives you 100GB for £15.99 a year and you can get higher levels as required for higher fees.
She is presumably paying for Flickr Pro, which has unlimited storage and number of files, so isn't actually that bad at £60 pa, given that she has several thousand photos.

Flickr changed the way they store photos. Non paying members can only have 1000 photo's stored. If she stops paying sadly they will begin deleting her photos until it reaches 1000 photos. Sadly it's the reason I now pay them monthly as I cannot lose my photos.

    From Flickr's Q&A
Please keep in mind that free accounts are subject to a limit of 1,000 uploads. Downgrading your Pro account will put your content at risk of deletion if you exceed this limit - so make sure your content is backed up before canceling.

Depends how you look at it... signed up to Prime before it was a feature, it was added as a feature and the price didn't increase and so arguably it was free for me.
