i just no idea it would be so diffulcult. We normally have family christmas but grandparents both sides are ill. We have a crap year so decided to go on a credit card holiday. Or i would if i could find one for less than £3500.
2 adults and 3 children (13,9,7) flying from somewhere North of London. We want to go somewhere hot, i thought Luxor would be ideal but can't find anything - i don't want to spend £-4k to go to the canaries or anywhere else in Europe that is mild weather (I WANT HOT). i have clearly left it too late but i would like to get away - i am even wondering about a 3/4 night city break or even a short break in a UK hotel with a lesiure area for the kids.
Please anyone got any suggestions - somewhere i can find a holiday or get flights and hotels seperately....

At this stage i would personally just try the online late deals, you might get lucky. I doubt you would get cheap last minute flights this time of year.Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!

I'd recommend giving Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted a miss too! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

How about booking your holiday in seperate parts. Buy travel then hotels then whatever else while you are there. Always worked out so much cheaper for me this way!
You'll find you can either go to cheap airline websites and then google for hotels in whatever are you want to go to. Don't book through hotel websites - they will be more expensive.0 -
I agree with flutsy. Or go further still and and try a bit of an adventerous backpacking style holiday. This doesn't mean actualy walking around with a backpack, but researching a trip first on the internet and booking things separtatly as flutsy suggested, but also when you are actualy out there. A good example of a cheap and easy place to do this would be Thailand.
There are plenty of resources on the net for making a do it yourself trip. You could start here, ask some questions and see what comes up http://www.lonelyplanet.com/thorntree/index.jspa0 -
thanks for the suggestions - would be quite happy to book flight and accomodation seperatley, just can't find flights. charter flights are full, scheduled are too expensive.
I really don't want to end up in a caravan in Skegness - has anyone come across anything they can suggest please0 -
Lastminute has Kenya, leaving 31 Jan, looks nice although not cheap:
